I'm Janea Jaime, and it's my absolute joy to serve as your School Counselor. Transitioning from a career in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2014, I embarked on a rewarding journey within Alvord Unified School District.

👫 Small Group Counseling: Together, we navigate common challenges in supportive group sessions, fostering a sense of community among students facing similar issues.

🤝 Individual Counseling: Offering one-on-one short-term counseling provides a safe space for students to express personal and emotional concerns. Additionally, I connect students and families with valuable community resources.

🚨 Crisis Intervention: I'm here to respond to and manage crisis situations, collaborating with staff and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system.

🤝 Collaboration with Teachers and Parents/Caregivers: Working closely with our amazing teachers and parents, I strive for a unified approach to support the well-being and success of each child.

An School Counselor in elementary plays a key role in academic support by assisting students in strengthening their executive functioning skills. Through targeted interventions, the counselor helps students develop crucial abilities such as time management, organization, and task prioritization.
