Safety is our priority and kindness a value, therefore we kindly ask that you:

  • be considerate of all neighbors surrounding our school by staying off front yards and keeping their driveways clear,

  • follow all traffic laws and speed limits,

  • not double park in the pull through drive area or in the street,

  • only use the designated crosswalks when crossing the street and within the parking lot,

  • not enter the parking lot through the EXIT driveway at any time (at times you may see district vehicles or staff entering this area for designated purposes only)

  • drive to the end of the green zone to make room for additional cars on the curb to unload,

  • keep the flow of traffic, pull ahead as far as possible before stopping your vehicle to unload,

  • park in designated visitor parking spaces or white curb spaces only (do not take marked staff parking spaces).

NEVER leave your car unattended in the loading/unloading green curb or red zone at ANY time in the school day. You may not create a second lane within the parking lot or in the back campus gate area. Your cooperation in the parking lot will ensure safety for all students.

Parents are asked to drop off their students at any gate (#’s 2, 4, or 6).

  • All students may line up outside gate #s 2 or 6 until the campus opens for breakfast at 7:40 a.m.

  • If not eating breakfast at school, TK and Kindergarten students will line up outside gate #2 until the campus opens at 7:45 am, at which time they go directly to their classroom line. TK & Kinder students may be escorted by an older sibling to their classroom door.

  • As 1st-5th grade students enter campus, they are encouraged to go into the MPR for breakfast. After eating, they are to calmly go to the playground to line up on their classroom number line.

  • If students ride bikes or scooters to school, they may store them in the bike rack next to the kindergarten playground. Students must wear a helmet and walk their bike/scooter on and off school campus. Please note that bikes and scooters are not monitored at arrival and dismissal times and locks are recommended. Skateboards, skates, or “heelies” shoes are not allowed at school.

  • Students may not leave their playground without permission from the staff on duty.

  • There is no running or loitering in restrooms, halls, bike racks, or other non-playground areas before, during, and after school.

Dismissal for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten:

  • Students in TK and Kindergarten must be picked up at 2:00 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Each Tuesday afternoon dismissal is at 12:45 pm.

  • Parents/Guardians are given a Kinder Pick-Up Pass at the TK/Kindergarten Orientation and will be informed which gate their child will be dismissed from (#’s 1 & 2, 3, or 6).  Each day at dismissal, a family member will meet their Kindergarten teacher at their assigned gate (#’s 1 & 2, 3, or 6), show their pass to the teacher, and their student will be released to them. The gate your child will be dismissed from will be shared with you at Kindergarten Orientation.

    • If a Pick-Up Pass is misplaced, the family member will be asked to go to the front office to show their I.D. to office staff and it will be verified that this person is on the student’s contact list and may leave with them.

Dismissal for 1st - 5th Grades:

  • Students in grades 1-5 are allowed to exit the campus on their own.

  • We suggest that before the school year begins, families choose a predetermined location either at the front of the school, or back gate area, and practice how and where they will meet their child.

  • Due to the need for school staff to help students safely cross the parking lot, the orange swing gate leading into the campus parking lot is CLOSED for parking or driving through.

  • Vehicles with handicap signage may enter at the orange gate to park in handicap spaces, up until 2:00 pm. Vehicles with handicap signage may not wait on the green curb. Please park in an assigned space and walk to the gate to collect your child.

  • School buses and daycare provider buses, who pick up multiple children, may enter the orange gate prior to 2:00 pm and wait on the green loading zone curb. Drivers may not exit the vehicle at any time.

  • Students in 1st - 5th grade must be picked up promptly at 2:15 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Each Tuesday afternoon dismissal is at 1:00 pm.
