When your student is referred for counseling support, Mrs. Jaime will assess their needs and assign them to one of our amazing counselors: Mrs. Garcia, our Counseling Intern, Ms. Ruby, our Wylie Outreach Counselor, or herself (Mrs. Jaime) the Valley View Counselor. πŸ’™βœ¨
Mrs. Jaime will continue to oversee all counseling services at Valley View, ensuring the highest level of care for our students. πŸ’™
Common reasons for referral:
Need for family access to community resources
Referral to therapy or mental health supports
Mentoring or check-in support
Behavioral support
Social skills development
Academic concerns (e.g., study skills, organization, time management)
Attendance issues
Peer conflicts
Emotional support for anxiety, stress, or anger management
