As we get ready to end this amazing year we have had, we also begin to plan for an exciting new year of learning and growth!

We encourage all families to take a moment to review the calendar and write down those important dates! 🖊️

Cell Phone Policy

Please see the Alvord Unified Cell Phone Policy posted above. This policy will go into effect next school year, 2024-2025.

Here is the current Cell Phone Policy, as defined within the Student Handbook that was shared at registration:

The use of cell phones and/or smartwatches is prohibited during the instructional day. Electronic devices must remain out of sight and turned off or on silent mode. If a staff member sees a student with a cell phone or smartwatch during the instructional day, it will be confiscated and held for parent/guardian pickup. If a student needs to contact home for any reason, they may use one of the school phones.

Students attending the after-school program must comply with the program's policy on cell phone use. If a family member needs to contact a student, they are asked to call the school office or the ELOP office if after school hours.

🧠💚 As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to remind our families that mental health matters every day—for students, parents, and staff alike.
Taking care of our emotional well-being is just as important as taking care of our physical health. Whether it's talking things out, setting boundaries, practicing gratitude, or simply pausing to breathe—every little step counts. 🌿💬✨
We've gathered a few helpful resources to support your family’s mental wellness—because strong minds build strong futures. 💪📘
Let’s continue to check in with one another, show kindness, and make mental health a year-round priority. 💛
